Using a 375 pound minimum weight capacity ladder, the Ladder Lifter quickly clamps onto the rungs with the pulley assembly on top, and the braking winch assembly near the bottom. Suspended from the galvanized steel cable is the adjustable width Hand Cup Lifter Bar that uses two (Catalog Number W4950) Metal Handle Vacuum Cups (included) that you attach to the glass. You can easily lift up to 185 pounds safely using the winch to precisely position the window unit. Using a second ladder, the window can then be fitted and sealed into place. Because the Ladder Lifter uses a special "braking" winch, there's no need to flip levers to lock the unit into place. Just release the winch handle and you're locked into position. To lower the Lifter Bar simply rotate the winch handle counter clockwise.
